Getting started
Welcome to Lebuhraya. This page walks you through your first session, from joining the server to earning your first XP and picking up your first job.
What is Lebuhraya?
Lebuhraya is a driving roleplay experience set on a Malaysian highway. Drive cars, motorcycles, trucks, and buses between three main regions. Take jobs, from food delivery to firefighting, to earn XP and build your career. Buy a house, join a convoy with friends, or just cruise.
The name "Lebuhraya" means "highway" in Malay.
Your first minute
When you join for the first time you spawn on the Visitors team with:
- 1000 BR (Ringgit) starting balance. BR is tracked, but most everyday costs are not charged yet, so shops, fuel, repairs, and furniture are currently free.
- Level 1, 0 XP
- No vehicle (you'll spawn one from a world vehicle spawner)
Look around the screen:
- Top-left: your level and XP progress
- Top-right: the Phone icon (tap to open apps and 999 emergency)
- Bottom: the Settings and Main Menu icons
Open the main menu early. It is the hub for almost everything:
| Tab | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Home | Profile, announcements, quick play/spawn actions |
| Teams | Join a team or inspect unlock requirements |
| Shop | Gamepasses, products, tokens, and promo codes |
| Activity | Missions, challenges, and season pass progress |
| More | Career ranks, job tiers, token inventory, credits, races, help |
Spawning your first vehicle
Vehicles spawn from physical vehicle spawner pads around the map. The MyPod topbar icon is a music player, not a vehicle spawner.
- Walk to a green vehicle spawner marker or team spawner pad.
- Browse the vehicle list. Free starter vehicles are available to everyone.
- Select a vehicle. The info panel shows its image, description, lock status, and Spawn button.
- Click Spawn, then choose an available pad if the spawner asks.
- Your vehicle appears on the selected pad and is registered to you.
Walk up to the driver door and press F (keyboard), X (gamepad), or tap the Drive button (mobile) to sit.
Starter-friendly choices include compact cars like the Protan Waja, Perosatu Axai, Perosatu Myvi, and Perosatu Bezza. Locked cards show the required level or career tier.
Driving and earning your first XP
You earn XP just by driving. Every 1500 studs you travel in a driver seat awards you 50 XP. Keep the vehicle moving and the XP ticks in.
Want to go faster?
- Do jobs - each completed action awards bonus XP
- Drive with friends in a convoy - up to +50% XP bonus
- Activate an XP Boost token from your inventory for 2× XP
- Weekend events occasionally double everyone's XP
Picking your first job
You can join Visitors and Bus Driver immediately. Most other jobs unlock by level, gamepass, or group membership. Your first level milestone is Level 10, which unlocks the Food Delivery team.
Here's the free-and-early progression:
| Unlock | Team / Feature |
|---|---|
| Start | Bus Driver, Visitors |
| Group member (1143446) | Malaysians team (Fishing, Checkout) |
| Level 10 | Food Delivery |
| Level 25 | Waste Disposal |
| Level 50 | Post Office |
| Level 75 | Logistics (Trucking) |
See Teams and careers for the full list and Jobs for what each one actually does.
A good first 30-minute plan
- Spawn a starter car and drive a clean loop between Bandar Seri Putra and the highway.
- Open the Phone GPS and set a waypoint to a petrol station, repair zone, or race track so you learn the road network.
- Join a convoy if friends are online; the bonus helps even before you unlock jobs.
- When you reach Level 10, switch to Food Delivery and start doing short delivery loops.
- If you are in the MYSverse group, try Malaysians for Fishing or Checkout while you level.
What happens when I crash?
Vehicles take damage when you hit things. Badly-damaged vehicles can be towed by a KEMRonda player, repaired in one of the map's repair zones, or patched with a Toolkit. Gravstone Workshop is for paint/body customisation, not repairs. If you can reach a vehicle spawner, spawning a replacement vehicle clears your previous owned vehicle.
A note about test servers
If you join a test server or a private server, you may see a warning that XP will be reset to 0. This is normal for testing and private sessions. On the live public game, your XP and BR are saved automatically when you leave.
